Many of you have heard my boyfriend, (now fiance!) Drew, proposed to me on February 3rd. It was a wonderful surprise and Drew had the forethought to have a friend take photos so that we would always have the memories to share with our family and friends. Here are a few of my favorites from the proposal.
Many brides, following their engagement, hear the question, "When is the big day?" I hear the question, "Are you making your cake?" And the answer is yes! I will be making my cake. With that said, I have no idea what my cake will look like! My style is simple and classic, so please do not expect anything terribly crazy! Plus, I have a wedding I cannot be late to!
To answer the first question, the wedding is September 29th! Of course I have to talk a little business, too. We will not be accepting any orders the week of the wedding. We will be working the week after the wedding, however, we will be on our honeymoon the week of October 8th; we will not be taking orders that week. Thank you for your understanding!
A little more fun stuff! Decorative cookies are not something that we sell at the bakery, but as you can guess I like to play around in the kitchen. I made these for our engagement party.
I'd like to thank my wonderful clients for all of the well wishes during this exciting time for Drew and me and our families. We could not be happier! It is so much fun for me to experience what my brides feel and making their wedding cakes gives me even more joy than before!
